You’ve seen the poster. These outfits actually have a purpose beyond our promotional material. These will in fact partake in a performance in the opening night at the contemporary art space Bac. I actually have no idea about the exact details of what will transpire. Hopefully we can get some footage of it.

The Mapping Festival is looking for volunteers, from April 27th to May 17th.
We are looking for bar tenders, cashiers, technical help, cook help, runners, garden gnomes etc…

In an effort to keep things simple. The work(?!) area where scratches on paper and tapping on keys is done in order to program the sequence of events that will blow your mind.
MetaMapping: blog launch + names
What is the MetaMapping? The idea was hatched last year but could not be realized due to time and budget restrictions. This year its going to happen. The concept: invite a group of artists to live, eat sleep and enliven a space through collaboration.
The blog serves to inform the public about what we will be up to and also as a resource for all the artists involved to get to know one another before they arrive and post their own MetaMapping materials.
Return of The Erasers
One of the joys of curating a festival with an open call for submissions is the occasional surprises. For us the most exciting gift was the performance of The Erasers. So much so that we could not get enough and have arranged for them to return with a much larger presence.
As part of our collaboration with the Grütli this year, The Erasers will occupy the ‘white box’ performance space with an open studio called ‘Intermediated’ where the public is invited to participate in an ongoing creation/destruction of media.
The open call is very open.
The three day workshop will take place from 13h00 till 21h00 on the 10th , 11th and 12th May.
In addition to this The Erasers will perform in the same location on the evening of the 14th and the 15th May.

Press conference
Some photos from the press conference at the Grütli, a performance center in the heart of Geneva. This is the first year that the Mapping Festival is to collaborate with the Grü (as it is often referred to in Geneva). It will host dance performances and The Erasers ‘intermediated‘ events and related performance(s).
